An approach to the relationship between regional development and entrepreneurship in Colombia

Resumen

En el presente trabajo se realiza una aproximación a la relación endógena entre el desarrollo económico de los municipios en Colombia y su tasa de emprendimiento. Por lo tanto, se explora un modelo de dos ecuaciones simultáneas donde las variables endógenas son el PIB del municipio como indicador de su nivel de desarrollo y la tasa de empleadores más cuenta propia con alto grado educativo como variable que representa el emprendimiento, y se utiliza la información del Censo de Población 2005. La estimación obtenida muestra que existe una relación positiva y de doble vía entre el PIB municipal y la tasa de emprendimiento local.
