Resumen

El presente texto propone un estudio de los archivos CAD, cuyos datos representan el diseño y los mecanismos de armas de fuego funcionales, como manifestación del derecho a la libre expresión en los Estados Unidos, por la posibilidad de equiparar el código con el lenguaje y por la connotación política que un arma trae consigo dentro del territorio norteamericano; escenario representado por el Liberator, la primera arma de fuego fabricada a través de la impresión en 3D de la que se tiene conocimiento. Para ello se plantea un estudio erigido bajo la metodología de Science and Technology Studies (STS), lo cual implica la valoración de diferentes conceptos, como por ejemplo la tecnología y su impacto real en el ser humano, más allá de la perspectiva del derecho. Bajo esta metodología, se estudiarán el contenido de la Primera y la Segunda Enmienda y las percepciones que la población tiene sobre ellas. Finalmente, se estudiarán las potenciales relaciones entre estos textos constitucionales, la comunidad y el caso concreto de las armas de fuego creadas a través de la manufactura aditiva.
