Power in Social Sciences: A Preliminary Review

Resumen
El artículo explora los rostros del poder en diversas ciencias sociales, como la sociología, la ciencia política, la relaciones internacionales, la filosofía y la economía. El texto explora la complejidad del poder, subrayando diferentes facetas que incluyen las interacciones entre individuos, las restricciones impuestas a esas interacciones, la influencia en la configuración de sus intereses y construcción de su identidad. Estas facetas se manifiestan en distintas esferas, como las dinámicas cotidianas, los mercados, las relaciones de clase y las interacciones en la economía global. Como conclusión, se subraya la importancia de comprender estas perspectivas como una forma de contrarrestar las narrativas que sugieren la “ausencia de poder” en ámbitos, cuando en realidad el poder está omnipresente, aunque pueda se antoje etéreo.
