Global Impact of the New Public Management in Healthcare: A Scopus-Based Bibliometric Study

Resumen
Reconociendo el auge de la nueva gestión pública (NGP) en el sector de la salud, se propone un estudio bibliométrico para analizar la producción científica en el campo. Utilizando los registros de la base de datos Scopus, se identifican indicadores cronológicos y geográficos, las revistas, los autores y textos más citados, y se emplean análisis de mapas de redes para determinar los ejes temáticos. Los resultados muestran que los estudios sobre NGP han variado en casi 40 años, con un pico en 2021, encontrando que Reino Unido, Suecia y Australia son los principales contribuyentes. También se observa un desarrollo investigativo significativo en el campo de la NGP, con enfoques diversos sobre reformas y políticas. La concentración en revistas de alto impacto y la preeminencia de autores influyentes subrayan la importancia continua de la NGP en la gestión de servicios de salud.
