Este artigo esclarece o significado da teoria monetária moderna. Ao sintetizar quatro maneiras de chegar a essa teoria e suas conclusões - os caminhos da história, lógica, teoria e prática - ele questiona algumas das objeções que seus críticos fizeram dele.
