Sustainable Hotel Supply and Purchase Intention. A Review of The Literature

Resumen

Desde principios de este siglo, la sustentabilidad se ha consolidado no solo como una estrategia para distinguir los destinos turísticos, sino también como un medio para lograr mejores prácticas ambientales, sociales y económicas. Esta idea permeó en la industria turística y llevó a que los hoteles comenzaran a reconocer la importancia de implementar prácticas sustentables. Por medio de la metodología PRISMA, se realizó una revisión sistemática de la literatura con el objetivo de analizar el estado del arte de los estudios sobre la oferta hotelera sustentable y su influencia en el comportamiento del consumidor. Los hallazgos revelan tres categorías temáticas: hoteles sustentables y su impacto en el consumo, disposición hacia la hotelería sustentable y percepción de prácticas sustentables en la oferta hotelera. Sin embargo, persisten vacíos en la promoción del comportamiento sustentable y en la integración total de prácticas sustentables en la industria hotelera.
